Awards & Recognition

  • Prayas recognized as a distinguished Voluntary Organization and given the highest state honor (awarded) by the Government of Delhi in 1993
  • Launching of Anupam Prayas project on November 14. Prayas honored with the Rotary award for outstanding contribution towards the rehabilitation of street and working children in 1994
  • Prayas received Sulabh Habitat award in 1998 for outstanding work on homelessness and for deprived children
  • Rotary International award conferred on Prayas in 1998
  • Kumarrapa- Reckless Award for legal contribution for Juvenile Justice by the National Association of Criminology.
  • Received Award for outstanding Social work for child welfare from Govt. of Delhi and several Rotary Awards
  • Prayas has been awarded second best in the overall Best Performance category by Smt. Pratibha Patil, the Hon’ble President of India. Cash reward and trophy was given besides the certificate in the year 2009.
  • Prayas was declared Best in the Innovation category where in Smt. Sheila Dikshit, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of New Delhi awarded a trophy and a certificate.
